At the start of 2014 we decided to offer an "Enterprise" level of our VIP Membership. Some of our existing VIP's were requesting the ability to monitor their employee's messages, make sure enquiries were being responded to quickly and appropriately. The fastest away to deploy Enterprise was to add a section to the existing VIP page, which itself needed a refresh.

Tradesparq is interesting compared with other supplier discovery platforms in that it successfully monetises both the buyer and supplier sides of the market. Suppliers buy VIP for greater visibility and access to buyers, while buyers pay for access to our shipping data.

Enterprise

The pitch for enterprise was along the lines of "get your whole team on Tradesparq". Enterprise is targeted at supplier teams, where a sales manager is managing some staff. Typically a supplier will appoint one of their staff to manager inquiries coming from a platform like Tradesparq or Alibaba. These inquiries will often come into an email address that the manager oversees, but Tradesparq's approach is different. We encourage our users to view Tradesparq as a social network like LinkedIn where they own their own profile.
